Draw At The Emirates And Old Rivalries Rekindled

I haven’t updated the blog since Thursday because with the Man Utd games coming up there are plenty of people that would have been lending their opinions however intelligent or cretinous. Media going crazy proclaiming the game a potential match of the season which it was never going to be if you looked at what was at stake in psychological terms and other intangibles. So after the storm has settled its time to sift through the wreckage and give considered thought and observations.
Before the game Owen Hargreaves came out stating publicly that the red devils were going to beat Arsenal FC and therefore prove they were the best team in England. If beating another team once meant you were better and superior to them then Sheffield United would not be in the Championship right now or getting themselves spanked by Arsenal U21s in the Milk Cup. While the Arsenal players were more measured in their assertions about the game Man United were more outlandish like they had something to prove which they may have as several reports in the media stated that apparently they are frustrated and irritated about how everybody were praising us about our “so called beautiful football”. Maybe I should get a cactus plant and stick it up their collectively arses, now that would be something to get really irritated about.
The match started 12:45 pm Saturday no doubt moved to a early kick off to satisfy our oriental cousins in East Asia who are big fans of the premiership apparently. Am not going to go through a thorough analysis because a number of people have done that already just going to make a few observations. Our defence is finally clicking together as demonstrated by a fine central defensive display by the ever reliable King Kolo and new Captain Fantastic William Gallas. Gallas was unlucky to concede the own goal which was really well,,,,unlucky but I thought he was fantastic throughout the game and hopefully he’ll stay fit. Almunia unfortunately will never be good enough for Arsenal which is really sad because he’s decision making throughout the game left a lot to be desired. He had at least three headless chicken moments were he came charging put even though he didn’t need to and one of those moments lead to a easy United second goal. As soon as that goal went in I said to my self “he’s gona get it” and I was right because now people are saying maybe its time we gave Fabianski a shot at things. This is where Lehman has really shot himself in the foot if only he had kept his mouth shut and got on with things Arsene would be considering bringing him back now but alas he wont hence the reason he’ll continue to warm the bench. Another player who didn’t do himself justice was Emmanuel Adebayor, if I really want to be harsh he was literally joy riding throughout the game. Although he wasn’t helped by a 4-5-1 formation employed against a defensive Man United he had another iffy game and didn’t really contribute that much, he never looked like scoring. And finally we’re seriously fucked okay maybe slightly fucked if Fabregas gets injured. The Catalan boy wonder is our best player and I fear if he gets injured we would seriously struggle against a top team. Before I wasn’t really worried about this but now for some reason I really am not totally confident we will cope handily with his loss.
The game was not a classic not enough clear cut chances due to Man United’s Serie A team impersonation and our own inability although not due to a lack of trying to break them down. The result it seems hurt Sir Fergie because he hasn’t stop crying about the injustices he’s team as had to go through. I can just picture him right now foaming at the mouth like some drunken rabid dog…..”There is no security”. No security my arse, you deserved all the abuse and the one finger salute from the old girl at the back of you (Well done to MOTD 2 for spotting that). The abuse that Arsene gets at Old Trafford is much worse and totally disgusting. The fans probably just called him a fat cunt which is true. It was a fair result in the end and it means we've come out of the "two tests" with a satisfactory score. There are things to improve on but like every other gunner out there am looking forward to the rest of the season with great anticipation.
And that’s it for now must dash things to do,,,till next time.
